By seeing a child early, the orthodontist can see how the teeths and jaws are developing, and can alert you to changes that might occur as your child grows. Early childhood is an excellent time to lay the foundation for a lifetime of good dental habits. But good dental health means more than the health of individual teeth and the gums. To get a smile that\u2019s good for life, your child needs teeth and jaws that are properly aligned \u2013 in other words, a healthy bite. By starting treatment early, especially in younger children, a bad bite may be prevented or minimized allowing shorter treatment time and a better result.<\/p>\n

In fact, the dentition change in the posterior region begins between the ages of 9 and 10. During this period the growth of the jaw can be influenced easily.<\/p>\n

After the second dentition is completed, which is around the age of 12 years, an orthodontic treatment is still possible. In this case the treatment process is equivalent to the adult treatment wit fixed braces.<\/p>\n

The conventinal brace is made of a plastic body which consists of polymethylmethacrylat (pmma). It is a dental plastic with wire elements and steel wire. It is confirmed that this dental plastic can cause allergies and immunological reactions, especially when it comes to younger patients.<\/p>\n

It is important to use a material which doesn\u2019t contain benzoyl peroxide and monomer.<\/p>\n

Upon request we offer the brace production with biocompatible pmma-free plastics to avoid allergic reactions of the oral mucosa.<\/p>\n
